"I'm excited to marry you!" Laura said, playfully grabbing Charlie's arm. "I'm most excited about getting to start & end the day with Charlie there."

Cue the awwwwws :) These two are one of the sweetest couples! Dean & I have had the privilege of knowing Charlie & Laura for several years through MBC Arlington & we could not be more thrilled to see them navigate from friends to dating to now married yay!

Charlie said this about his beautiful bride-to-be, several weeks before their wedding: "Laura is so graceful, not in the secular sense of the way, but when don't go right or something else happens," he said. "The things I'm worst at, she is so amazing. When I get to see that, it's a spiritual punch. Laura loves the Lord & obedient in the call to serve."

That is Mr. & Mrs Thomas for you! They were wed at Bull Run Golf Club with a gorgeous mountain backdrop behind them as they exchanged vows & rings. After the ceremony, guests were escorted to the most gorgeous cocktail hour up by the clubhouse, complete with chic cafe lights strung overhead, followed by a wonderful reception full of heartfelt toasts, dancing, dinner & more dancing.

From the moment Charlie saw his beautiful bride Laura during their first look on a tucked-away wooden bridge to their heart-warming exchange of vows & taking of communion together under the trees near the water's edge of Bull Run Golf Club, this wedding was sweet, meaningful & all-around gorgeous in every way. Mr. & Mrs. Thomas, y'all are such an elegant couple!

a trip to holland

Two weekends ago, Mr. D and I made our way to Holland in Haymarket. Not the country itself (although my family have a quick layover stop in the Netherlands when I was 13. Oh, the teen years.). We jumped in the car and made our way to the cute town of Haymarket, Va., where Burnside Farms has all the tulips a girl could ask for.

If you're looking for a fun Saturday afternoon day trip, it's so worth the drive. Gorgeous rows of red, yellow and purple (my favorite!) flowers stretched across the farm. ​We loved exploring the brightly dotted land and picking a few stems to bring home.

I put together two vases with the tulips we had picked. Such a cheery reminder of God's splendor and beauty every time I walked by them. ​
