On a rainy Saturday morning, Hooman & Priscilla arrived at Middleburg's well-known Salamander Resort & Spa, looking at chic as ever. Don't get stuck only looking only on the outside though. These two are among the kindest, most gentle-hearted & thoughtful people I've ever met. I have the privilege to not only be photographing their wedding but to call them dear, dear friends!

When they started dating last year, we were THRILLED!!! Having two of your sweet friends fall in love & get engaged is such a beautiful journey to watch unfold. I could go on & ON about them!

Dean & I have been blessed to the max by having Hooman & Priscilla in each of our Small Groups & as constant encouragement to us, always spurring us on to walk closer with the Lord & seek Him first in all things.

They are so hospitable, caring, stylish, good-natured & like two peas in a pod - meant to be together. We are PUMPED for their wedding this fall, & more importantly, for their marriage!

Hooman, you knocked it out of the park by asking Priscilla to be your wife :) Priscilla, YAY for finding "the one whom your soul loves." We love y'all!

Not really, it's just a silly expression for, "Please, whatever you do, keep doing that during your engagement session."

Photographing Dave & Leanne at one of their favorite local wineries, Cobbler Mountain Cellars, was alllll that & a bag of chips. From the moment we met they were swapping stories & telling jokes with me like we went way back to our childhood years. Add in the fact that Dave absolutely adores his glowing bride-to-be & a beautiful golden hour lighting streaming across the sprawling grapevines & yep, a photographer's dream ♥

Charlie + Laura | Kennedy Center & Georgetown Waterfront Engagement Session

These two lovebirds. Their engagement has been months in the making. When we had a brunchtime portrait session last year, I remember thinking, "Oh yeah, m-a-r-r-i-a-g-e is coming their way!!" Charlie & Laura are two of the kindest friends with joy-filled, easy-going demeanors. Our church & community is so blessed to have them in our lives.

Laura is a dedicated small group leader to group of women at MBC while Charlie has faithfully served at Covenant House over the past couple years. And when they're together, their love for one another is so infectious & apparent. Shooting their engagement session was such a great evening of laughter, smiles & amore.

After walking around & taking photos at one of their favorite date night spots, The Kennedy Center, we made our way over to the Georgetown Waterfront for more beautiful photos. As tourists & locals alike milled around & walked down the sidewalk, Charlie & Laura only had eyes for one another. Their sweet looks & tender embraces were a joy to capture. This fall, they'll commit their lives to one another before family, friends & God on their wedding day at Bull Run Golf Club. And what an incredible day that will be!

David + Jesica | Meadowlark Botanical Gardens Engagement Session

She dreamed of the day she'd put on her white gown, walk down the aisle & get married here one day. Throughout their months of dating, Jesica & David never visited the dreamy Meadowlark Botanical Gardens together.

That is, until the day that David proposed!!

You two are the sweetest couple! So excited for your fall wedding right back in same spot :)

Jesica's jade green dress - can we talk about how cool the color & the back of it is? They are so chic. I could've shot them all morning/afternoon!

Their heart for God & honoring Him with their relationship is so evident. Such special Scripture signs that David & Jesica DIYed just for their session!

The faith, hope & love are references to this verse in 1 Corinthians 13:13 where Paul is exhorting about what love is & isn't as well as the importance of it:

"And now these three remain: faith, hope & love. But the greatest of these is love."

Charlie + Laura | Kennedy Center Engagement Session Sneak Peek

Over a year ago, Charlie asked me to take some headshots for him so we set up a time to head down to Alexandria on a Saturday morning. His beautiful girlfriend & my good friend Laura joined us & we had an impromptu photo session of them together (I can't resist couples in love!!)

Fast forward to 2014, & they're getting MARRIED this fall!!! Charlie & Laura are an awesome couple, incredibly kind, warm & caring friends & selfless small group/ministry leaders in our church with killer style (such a classic, Tommy Hilfiger-esque look!). Beyond excited for their upcoming wedding!! More of their romantic Kennedy Center engagement session to come!
